THE CHEESEBURGER MANIFESTO - A Revolutionary Romantic Comedy written by Ted Nicolaou An arrogant executive for an American auto company, JAKE, smuggles a million dollars in bribe money to Romania weeks after the revolution to grease the wheels of the post-Communist bureaucracy. Jake unwittingly gets swept up in his Romanian chauffeur’s dream: the first American style hamburger joint in Eastern Europe. He falls in love with his chauffeur’s sister, a firebrand of the opposition party and minor hero of the revolution, who's attracted to him, but offended by everything he stands for. The secret police, suspicious of his fraternizing with dissidents, mistakenly conclude that the burger joint is a front for an American-funded anti-government party, and brand him an enemy of the people. Back home, the SEC investigates the undeclared million, and his American cohorts let him take the fall. In a comedy of errors, he goes on the run, loses the million, and ends up disguised as a peasant, fleeing for his life across the wilds of Transylvania. From Armani suits to peasant rags, from Malibu to the post-Communist Twilight Zone – he journeys light years from home to rediscover the American Dream. |

BLOODNET - A Horror/Thriller written by Stephen M Coates (based upon an Original Idea by Stephen M Coates and Nicholas Black) The plan was simple, get back to the dorm room, fire up the computer, hack into the Kinky Meet website camera and spy on one of the girls as she ‘entertains’ one of her many Internet “friends”. All goes to plan until the visitor launches a plan of his own and commits a brutal murder while Tod and Franc watch helplessly via the webcam. With no physical evidence at the murder scene the police don’t believe a crime was committed and refuse to get involved. After the killer strikes again, and again leaving not a single clue for the police Tod and Franc decide they must stop him themselves. However the killer is always one step ahead and he continues to work his bloody way through the Kinky Meet web ring. Enlisting the aid of their fellow college student, the beautiful Mina, Tod and Franc lay a clever trap. But the killer knows they are watching; he kills again and this time takes Franc hostage. Only Tod can save Franc and stop the killer, but it will take more than his computer genius, it will take courage, courage he’s not sure he has, and in the stunning climax he saves Mina and the five remaining Kinky Meet girls from the killer. Only it isn’t over, it’s only just beginning, and as the killer falls to the ground Tod finds himself in deep, deep trouble. |
