	IN THE ARTS has been established as an Independent Film Production Company since June 2003 specialising in Feature Film Production of a commercial nature and within the genre of family entertainment. In other words we seek to make good quality British Movies for International Theatrical Release. We are constantly looking for new and original but commercial ideas to develop. 		Martyn Hall (Producer) has spent many years in the Film Industry going back to the early 70's where he worked with his father, Denis Hall, on many an animation series, feature film, title, top and tail on programming, pop promo's, commercials and various special effects across the range. He has been groomed in many aspects of film-making and worked upon some high profile feature films with top directors. Martyn has been educated in not only making quality films but films that turn a good profit. Such ideologies he intends to maintain. His company during the 70's and 80's, Filmfex, was responsible for filming special effects and animation for features such as Alien, Bladerunner, Gandhi, and shooting the whole of Watership Down. The company was also involved with many other features and animated shorts including an award at BAFTA and a BTAA Craft Award for the first Apple Mac Computer commercial based on Orwell's 1984 (Director Ridley Scott). His company was the founder and pioneer of slit scan photography later used in features such as Star Wars and Superman. Martyn has co-written a feature length film called The Final Touch. He has produced various TV Commercials and SFX Sequences and has also Produced and Directed many Theatre Productions. Films worked upon include: SCROOGE; MONTE CARLO OR BUST; A CLOCKWORK ORANGE; ALIEN; BLADERUNNER; WATERSHIP DOWN; CHARIOTS OF FIRE (Royal Premiere Film Presentation); KRULL; GANDHI; THE KEEP; PLAGUE DOGS.

		IN THE ARTS also provides the following Services which are contracted upon an ENGAGEMENT basis. EXECUTIVE PRODUCER SERVICE To Prepare ALL necessary Documentation for the Admistration of the Financing of the Production upon an EXCLUSIVE basis and thereafter to source the Finance for the Production, to Negotiate the Attachment of Talent to the Production and to Seek Out a suitable route To MARKET. We stress that at all times we can only use BEST ENDEAVOURS. PRODUCER SERVICE We can be contracted to Produce the Picture for you without us actually acquiring the FULL RIGHTS. In this instance we would be contracted under our engagement terms to work on the Picture as PRODUCER but where YOU retain the RIGHTS, RISK AND the major REWARDS. This is typically a reverse contract with a WRITER. CO-PRODUCER PRODUCER SERVICE The Service of Co-Producer tends nowadays to be along the lines of a Line Producer. However, to distinguish Co-Producer to Associate Producer we maintain that this is where we are engaged for a particular requirement. The engagement will be in two part (a) for an EXCLUSIVE period of work performed and a NON EXCLUSIVE period for work performed. ASSOCIATE PRODUCER SERVICE We identify Associate Producer as being engaged on a NON EXCLUSIVE basis for a particular requirement. The differentiation between Associate and Co-Producer will be if work is required which requires an EXCLUSIVE amount of time. If involved in Financing then this position will be responsible for providing PART Finance working from the Finance Plan laid out by the Executive Producer. LINE PRODUCER SERVICE We can provide for you a Line Producer to run your Picture. Contact Us for further Information. SCRIPT WRITING SERVICE You have an idea and want to see it in the Cinema? We can be contracted for Script Writing Services. Our Rates are in accordance with the WGGB (please refer). SCRIPT EDITING SERVICE So you have finished the FIRST DRAFT but so far no one is biting? It is no good going to family and friends as they will tell you what you want to hear. It is better for you to get a constructive critique of your Screenplay. This is where we can help you. We will objectively and constructively review your work and will provide you with an analysis and critical report. In this report will be highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of the script paying regarding to the Arc, Characterisation, Plot and Structure.
